Growth Hacking “A Practical Application”
What is growth hacking? Do a simple google search and you will get the usual fandangle explanation followed by the standard Silicon Valley case studies. When reading these its hard to find what relevance there is to a Irish based manufacturing SME but peel all the jargon back along with the “techy type” case studies and you will find that the ethos can be adapted to any business environment, by any business.
“Onsite Gravimetric Testing at Waterford’s Keltech”
On the 14th of June 2017 Keltech officially commissioned its own onsite gravimetric testing laboratory. The lab is specifically designed for the internal cleanliness testing of fuel and hydraulic reservoir tanks, a first of its kind in the UK and Ireland. This is another step in Keltech’s commitment to “reservoir tank excellence”.
At Keltech we have been a trusted partner to globally recognised OEM’s for over 25 years. For the past 15 years we have supplied ROPS & FOPS approved overhead guards and cabins to our OEM customer base whom manufacture machinery for the harshest of environments. Our Cabins are designed and manufactured with futuristic appeal, using our own bespoke curved arrow head profile, curved front windscreens along with sliding or hinged doors as desired to allow the operator have maximum visibility and security.
Keltech Participate in Annual WIT Lean Forum

Keltech "Our Story"
Keltech was founded in the 1980’s by the current MD Ray Breen. Keltech began as a humble mechanical workshop with a supporting team of mechanical fitters working off-site servicing local companies. Members of that founding team still sit today in senior management.
Another top accolade for Keltech
On Tuesday last the 4th of April Keltech Business Development Manager Seamus Lawlor was presented with a "Cummins Category Partner" award at an event held at the Cummins Darlington UK plant. The prestigious award makes Keltech one of a select few in Europe to be granted this recognition by Cummins.
3 Legs of a stool
Good equipment has become the “ticket of entry” to compete in metal fabrication, but most owners know that equipment alone can’t make a fabricator successful. If you give the best people in the world an old, poorly maintained laser, punch, press brake, or welding system, you’ll have a shop full of talented, frustrated employees and, ultimately, frustrated customers. If you have the best machines in the world but don’t have talented people who can operate them and (just as important) communicate and sell the services those machines make possible, you still get frustrated employees and customers. It really boils down to three legs of a stool: people, processes, and technology. And you need all three.
Hydraulic Tank Cleanliness "Ongoing Field Performance"
Today's hydraulic systems are smaller but more powerful, the demands of oil cleanliness have become much higher. Clean, contaminant-free oil within the hydraulic system is the main ingredient in reducing potentially large warranty costs and extending the service life of components.
Hey OEM’s: Are you adding unnecessary cost to your machines??
“Effective Tank design by Keltech” I find the best place to start is at the beginning. An effective tank project is a 2 way street, through open communication and collaboration in the early stages of the project we increase the chances hugely of ending up with a cost effective fit for purpose tank.
